A Whistleblower Law Firm New York City Can Have Faith In

When our founder, Jason R. Pickholz, left a partnership at a national law firm to form The Pickholz Law Offices, his goal was to create a whistleblower law firm New York City employees, residents, and customers could trust.  Not long thereafter, The Pickholz Law Offices became one of the first law firms in the country ever to win an SEC whistleblower award for a client. (See official SEC Award here.)  We are also the first whistleblower law firm ever to convince the SEC to grant someone an SEC whistleblower award over an initial decision by its staff to deny an award.  This groundbreaking result was named as one of the “Five milestones in the Dodd-Frank whistleblower reward program“ by Inside Counsel Magazine.  For related articles click here (Boston Business Journal) and here (NY Times).

In addition, The Pickholz Law Offices has helped employees of companies listed in Forbes Top 10, Top 20, Top 50, Top 100, and Top 500 to report frauds to the SEC and other government agencies, such as the New York Department of Financial Services.

Mr. Pickholz has spent over 20 years helping clients to provide information to the SEC, the New York Attorney General’s Office, and other federal and state agencies.  Sometimes those clients were whistleblowers who decided on their own that they wanted to report a corporate financial fraud or securities violation to the government.  Other times, they were asked by the government to come in and talk about something the government was already looking into.

In recognition of his achievements, in 2015 Mr. Pickholz was elected as a Fellow of The New York Bar Foundation.  Nominated by peers and elected by the Board of Directors, Fellows “represent one percent of the New York State Bar Association membership.  Being nominated and elected is a notable achievement,” explained the Chair of the Fellows.
